Signs You are Chosen by God
Believe it or not, no one can become a devout Christian without God’s help.
Yes, it takes God’s grace for Christians to keep believing and doing what God wants them to do.
John 6:44 says, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
In order to become a Christian, you must be first chosen by God.
But how can you know if God has chosen you?
You heard of people who were once hard-hearted sinners but then had a life-changing experience with God and became devout Christians.

Here are some sure signs that you have been chosen by God:
1. You Love Jesus More Than Anything Else
The first and most important sign that you are chosen by God is your love for Jesus.
If you truly love Him, you will obey His commands (John 14:15).

Your love for Jesus should be so great that you are willing to die for Him (John 15:13).

Once you have discovered your spiritual gifts and have been obedient to use them in the body of Christ, you will be fruitful.
One of the signs that you are chosen by God is that He will use you mightily in ministry.
Your obedience and faithfulness will result in His blessing and anointing on your life, and you will see the fruit of your labor for His kingdom.
“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10)
5. Your Life is a Living Testimony
If you are truly chosen by God, your life will be a walking testimony of His faithfulness.
You will see answered prayers and miracles as a result of your faith.
Your life itself will be a living example of God’s goodness.

6. You Experience Persecution
Once you choose to be part of God’s people, you will experience persecution.
The world will hate you because it first hated Jesus (John 15:18-19).
As you boldly proclaim the gospel and live out your faith, there will be those who oppose you.
But remember, Christ Himself was persecuted, and He promised His followers that they would experience the same.

“If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.” (John 15:19)
If you are living for Christ and obeying His commands, the world will hate you.

You will want to obey His commands and follow His will for your life.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that everyone will always speak well of you.
But generally speaking, those who know you would say that you are a good person—someone who is honest, trustworthy, and kind.
People see Christ in you, and as a result, your reputation is good.
“In the same way, good deeds are obvious, and even those that are not cannot be hidden.” (1 Timothy 5:25)
11. You are At Peace with God
If you have truly been chosen by God, you will have peace in your heart—even in the midst of trials and difficulties.
You may not always understand what He is doing, but you trust that He knows what is best.
You know that He is sovereign and in control, and you rest in His perfect will for your life.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
12. You Are Humble and Obedient
Are you humble and obedient to God?
Those who are truly chosen by Him are not proud or self-seeking (Philippians 2:3).
Instead, they are humble and obedient to His Word.
They are also willing to serve others instead of being served (Mark 10:45).
This is because they know that everything they have comes from God, and they are just His servants.
13. You Remain Faithful in Trials and Suffering
Another sign that you are chosen by God is your faithfulness in trials and suffering.
Those who are truly chosen by Him will not give up when things get tough.
